We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Logistics Executive to oversee and manage the logistics operations within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics, supply chain management, and a proven track record of optimizing processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor logistics operations such as warehousing, inventory management, transportation, and supply chain processes.
- Develop and implement strategies to streamline logistics operations and improve efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations related to logistics and transportation.
- Lead and manage the logistics team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers, vendors, and logistics service providers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Oversee inventory control processes, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimizing excess or obsolete inventory.
- Implement inventory tracking systems to monitor stock levels, orders, and deliveries.
- Manage transportation operations, including route planning, scheduling, and tracking of shipments.
- Optimize transportation costs while ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods.
- Develop and manage the logistics budget, identifying cost-saving opportunities and ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track logistics performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Utilize logistics software and technology to enhance operational efficiency and accuracy.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in logistics and supply chain management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related role.
- Proven experience in managing logistics operations, including warehousing, transportation, and inventory management.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in logistics software and tools.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
